New YouTube videos focusing on iBooks Accessibility

June 10, 2012

It has been a while since I have uploaded a new video to my YouTube channel. Sorry about that. I have been busy with a small project (my dissertation!). This past week I put the finishing touches on a couple of new videos focusing on iBooks accessibility: the first one is a video version of a tutorial I did a while back on how to make images accessible for VoiceOver in iBooks Author. Image descriptions are a tricky subject (more an art than a science) but i hope the examples and brief quiz in the video help. The second video shows how to add a glossary in iBooks Author. A glossary can help point out important information to a student as he or she reads (UDL: point out critical features). It can also be used in conjunction with the new Study Cards features in the iBooks app. This is a new flashcards features that is a really handy study and review tool for all students.
